    INDIANA mSA’S MARCH UNEMPLOYMENT RATE AT 5.3%

    Indiana tied with four other counties for the 52
    nd lowest unemployment rate among Pennsylvania’s 67 counties.
    Unemployment rates and rankings of adjacent counties were: Jefferson (4.6%, t-31st); Clearfield (5.0%, t-41st); Cambria (5.2%, t-48th); Westmoreland (4.6%, t-31st); and Armstrong (5.3%, t-52nd). Unemployment rates across Pennsylvania ranged from 3.3 percent in Adams, Centre, Chester, and Lancaster counties to 6.5 percent in Forest County.

    Emclaire acquiring Community First in $17M transaction

    Emclaire Financial Corp. on Friday said it has entered into an agreement to acquire Community First Bancorp Inc. in a $17 million cash and stock transaction expected to close in the fourth quarter.     PNC to close Butler's Main Street branch

    The PNC Bank branch on Main Street in Butler is set to close as the company evaluates its network of branches. All accounts will be transferred to the Clearview Mall PNC branch, a PNC spokeswoman told the Butler Eagle. Customers can continue to use any of PNC's 2,400 branch offices. The branch at 106 S.
