Mark your calendars for some exciting new events happening in the coming months. On May 3, 2025, Timberwolf Campground will partner with Keystone Adventures for an Outdoor Expo featuring live music, vendors, food trucks, giveaways, and demonstrations. Countryside Campground will host a Mother’s Day Craft & Vendor Show on May 10, 2025, offering unique booths and food trucks.
The annual Westsylvania Jazz & Blues Festival, May 23–24, is embracing regional artists with the addition of the Westsylvania Arts Festival, May 24, 2025. The Indiana County Art Studio Tour (ICAST) will take place on June 7-8, 2025, where artists of all styles and mediums will be showcasing and selling their work in local studios. Making its debut on July 12 will be the “It’s A Wonderful Life” 5k and Christmas in July Festival at Mytrysak’s Family Tree Farm. Rayne Drop, one of the area’s newest entertainment venues, will be offering a variety of events such as Tracy Byrd on June 7 and Lee Greenwood on July 26, 2025. Drew Zimmerman, Rayne Drop General Manager, recently announced that Paul Teutul Jr., star of Discovery Channel’s American Chopper, will host the first annual American Bike Fest on September 12 & 13. The event will feature music performances by nationally named talent such as Molly Hatchet and Hinder, special guest Mikey Teutul, as well as vendors, a kids’ zone, and a showroom featuring bikes, including “The Black Widow”. There will also be an exclusive VIP event on Thursday, September 11 that will include first responders. Special “meet & greet” packages available!
Several local landmarks are also commemorating significant anniversaries this year. The Jimmy Stewart Museum will observe its 30th anniversary with a series of festivities on May 16-17, 2025. Blairsville is celebrating its Bicentennial with a robust schedule of events, including a Bicentennial Parade on August 9, 2025. Additionally, Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) is marking its 150th anniversary during the 2025 – 2026 academic year.
National Travel & Tourism Week (NTTW) is quickly approaching. The weeklong celebration, May 4-10, 2025, will highlight the travel industry and its essential role in stimulating economic growth, cultivating vibrant communities, creating quality job opportunities, inspiring new businesses, and forging connections. This year’s theme is Tourism for Inclusive Growth. It will showcase the role of tourism in fostering economic growth while ensuring it benefits all segments of society by creating jobs and promoting sustainable practices. The tourist bureau will announce additional details for NTTW events at the local level closer to May.
Preparations are underway for the nation’s Semiquincentennial celebration in 2026, marking the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence (July 4, 1776 – July 4, 2026). Locally, America250 PA – Indiana County is encouraging businesses and organizations hosting annual events in 2026 to incorporate the anniversary theme into their programming. Alternatively, businesses and organizations may choose to host a special event to honor this significant milestone in American history. Now is the ideal time to begin planning!

The America250PA – Indiana County committee is also compiling a comprehensive calendar of local events to celebrate the occasion.
