Jack Clark Memorial Scholarship Announced

Once again, the Indiana County Development Corporation and the Indiana County Manufacturing Consortium are excited to announce the release of the Jack Clark Memorial Scholarship application. This program was initiated in 2012 and renamed in 2017 to honor Jack Clark’s memory as one of the sons of the original owner of Clark Metal Products in Blairsville and one of the creative founders of the Indiana County Manufacturing Consortium. The Indiana County Manufacturing Consortium (ICMC) and the Indiana County Development Corporation (ICDC) will award one (1) scholarship worth $2,000 to a graduating senior from Indiana County who will be pursuing a post-secondary education (a degree, diploma, or certificate at a technical school, community college, college, or university) in a manufacturing-related field during the 2023-2024 academic year. 

Submission must be received by April 14, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. in a 9″ x 12″ envelope or similar.  Submissions received after 4:00 p.m. will be disqualified. NO exceptions.

The Indiana County Development Corporation (ICDC) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to directly promote the industrial and economic development activities of Indiana County and to make it a better place in which to live.  The ICDC develops and maintains an inventory of quality business park sites and multi-tenant buildings that support the creation and retention of family-sustaining jobs in Indiana County. The ICDC consists of a thirteen (13) member board of directors who represent various community and economic sectors in Indiana County.

The Indiana County Manufacturing Consortium (ICMC) is a non-profit organization that exists to assist in helping each of its members to individually, and collectively, to become successful competitors in the domestic and global marketplace. ICMC’s diverse membership consists of a cross-section of manufacturing related companies who produce quality products and services distributed regionally, nationally and internationally. The mission of the Indiana County Manufacturing Consortium is to identify and address the needs of the participating Indiana County Manufacturers. ICMC will accomplish this through networking, sharing ideas and by partnering with county and state government organizations and educational providers.

The 2022 recipient of the award was Dylan Majernik, of Indiana. Dylan attended Indiana Area Senior High School. He will major in electrical technology at Rosedale Technical College and plans to utilize the degree in the manufacturing industry.

Joe Reschini is the president of ICDC and John Weible, Miller Fabrication Solutions and Kevin McCullough, Valence Surface Technologies are the co-chairs of ICMC.
