The Indiana Community Calendar Was on Full Illumination in Late Fall 2024

On September 5th the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce received the ninth Class of Business Hall of Fame Inductees at the Indiana Country Club. Notable accomplishments and contributions to Indiana County were on full display in a range of industries and commitments. This year’s class included Heath Clark (Rochester & Pittsburgh Coal Company), John Sutton (Indiana Normal School), Bryan Force (Force Environmental / East American, Inc), Ann Lezanic (9th Street Deli), T. Michael Price (First Commonwealth Bank), and Dana P. Henry (Indiana County Chamber of Commerce/ Indiana County Center for Economic Operations).

Chamber and attendee guests enjoyed the evening by celebrating the contribution highlighted through speech and video presentations. Over the next year, the classes’ featured photos and videos will be on full display in the Kovalchick and Athletic Complex on IUP’s campus along Wayne Avenue.

On December 10th our 112th Annual Meeting & Holiday Celebration, held at the Indiana Country Club, we had the privilege of welcoming former Pittsburgh Pirates player and keynote speaker, Neil Walker. Mr. Walker graciously joined us to recognize some county high school athletes and our annual sponsors prior to our meeting commencement.

This year has been marked by exceptional collaboration, strengthened relationships, and notable progress. With the unwavering support of our members, the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce has had the honor of:

– Facilitating 17 business after-hours networking events

– Hosting 26 ribbon-cutting ceremonies

– Leading the second year of the Excellence in Education program

– Advancing the fifth year of Indiana CountyReady™ and the SoftSkills Challenge

– Enhancing and streamlining services and offerings for our membership

An extraordinary honor was also received by incoming Board Chairman, Laurie Kuzneski – who becomes the first female Chair in the 112-year history of the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce. Laurie recognizes the legacy that she leads and those who’ve come before in Chamber development and advocacy measures.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our Board of Directors and Chamber committees for their steadfast dedication. Your tireless efforts in advancing the interests of business and fostering growth within our community are truly commendable. We are profoundly grateful for the continued opportunity to work alongside these esteemed businesses and organizations throughout the year. We look forward to building upon these successes in the coming year.
