ICTB Tourism Spotlight

The Indiana County Tourist Bureau is pleased to welcome the return of some familiar spring events. These events provide many opportunities to explore and enjoy the beauty of Indiana County. Whether you prefer to explore by foot, by wheels or by water, there is something for all to enjoy. Stop by the tourist bureau office in the Indiana Mall and pick up an annual event rack card, look for us at the many upcoming events or check out our online calendar at www.VisitIndianaCountyPA.org for daily updates.

Familiarization Tour (FAM tour); Join us for an Earth Day Adventure with the Indiana County Tourist Bureau from 9:00am – 2:00pm on April 22, 2022. Plan to spend a few hours with the tourist bureau crew as we explore a few of our local gems. Participants will gather for this local bus tour at the Jimmy Stewart Airport where they can choose to purchase a freshly baked treat and beverage from the new Riziki Café. Then board the bus and embark on an educational journey with the first stop at the Kintersburg Bridge. Enjoy an historical presentation by Ed Patterson, Director of Indiana County Parks & Trails. Next, travel to the Tanoma Wetlands Educational Site where Cindy Rogers, president of the Evergreen Conservancy will explain their important work to clean up the environment, not only on Earth Day but every day. After enjoying a picnic lunch and refreshments at the pavilion, our group will travel back to the Jimmy Stewart Airport. Airport Manager Rick Fuellner will provide the group with the latest information about all the exciting things happening at the airport. Cost is $20 per person which includes a boxed lunch. The Indiana County Tourist Bureau (ICTB) will be celebrating National Travel & Tourism Week (NTTW), May 1 – 7, 2022. The theme for this year’s campaign is “The Future of Travel” and will highlight the value travel & tourism holds for our economy, businesses, personal well-being and more. ICTB will be launching a cross-promotional campaign in collaboration with 7 western PA counties.
