Employment Expo 2022
Wednesday, April 13th, 2022, Indiana County Area School District students in grades 10-11 will have the opportunity to engage with a panel of employers about different careers, employability skills and job retention skills. Many of the employers will have current job openings and students will have the chance to visit each table on the KCAC floor based on their specific interest. At 12:30 PM the job fair portion of the event will commence and will run to 3:00 pm. This event is open to jobseekers of all ages and skill levels and professions. Professional attire is expected, and jobseekers should bring a copy of their resume, prepare their 10 second introduction and in some cases be prepared for an onsite interview. As in the past and with our commitment to veteran’s preference, veterans will be admitted at 12:30 pm. There will be a designated area for veteran service providers to set up informational tables as well.
This same event in 2019 provided an opportunity for employers to showcase their industries and speak to over 800 potential employees and 389 jobseekers with current skill sets. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 we had to cancel the 2020 event and were unable to hold the event again in 2021. We are excited for this year’s Employment Expo and hope that you will choose to participate in the Indiana County Employment Expo 2022. We continually strive to work together to build a strong workforce, retain our dedicated workers and enhance our quality of life in Indiana County and beyond.

Employers may contact the PA CareerLink office prior to the event to post their open positions on the website at www.pacareerlink.pa.gov or for local labor market information.
Jobseekers should register on the PA CareerLink website www.pacareerlink.pa.gov and sign up for the expo on the events page.
Both students and community job seekers will be asked to complete a registration and survey at the event. Jobseekers may also call the Pa CareerLink office prior to the event for any assistance in preparation for the expo.
