Technology & Entrepreneurship Center

The mission of the TEC is to foster entrepreneurship and enhance the success of new tech companies through a program of business incubation and education, resulting in a more diverse local economy, new job opportunities in the Indiana area, and increased wealth.

Indiana’s TEC space includes over 1000 sq ft of co-working/co-learning space. It is located at Unit 110 and 111 of the Atrium in downtown Indiana. The co-working space is complete with tables, chairs, couches, and sofas for members to use at their convenience. Most tables also have a computer monitor, keyboard, and mouse ready to hook to your laptop. Tables are not reserved, and personal items must be removed each evening. Currently over 20 spaces are available each day.

TEC offers coaching and classes in a wide range of software, digital media, and IT topics. It also offers networking and social hours designed to spark the creative and entrepreneurial talent of Indiana’s technology workers.

Technology-related start-up companies may take advantage of a greater suite of services. These include the possibility of being designated a KIZ company which opens up special tax considerations as well as tax credits. For start-ups, TEC offers workshops in a variety of business and technology related topics. TEC also partners with the IUP SBDC to coordinate business plan development and other services.
